Businesses can’t be grateful for things because they don’t have emotions. But Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Columbia is more than a business. It is my livelihood and the place where I spend most of my waking hours. In some ways, the business and I are one and the same. Today I want to share what I am thankful for on the business side of my life.
First, I am grateful to my outstanding employees. When you are lucky enough to hire an exemplary employee, hold onto them tight. They aren’t easy to find and they make all the difference in the world. Not only are they critical to your business success, but they make the work days go by so much faster– and with plenty of good laughs.
Every day I am thankful for the people who trust us with their business. It is always a leap of faith to form a relationship with a new contractor and we work our hardest for each customer. We are doubly grateful to the families who call us for repeat jobs and to those who refer us to neighbors and friends. We couldn’t survive without you!
We know that our company wouldn’t be the same anywhere else. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the business community of Columbia. Our fellow building trade professionals have been incredibly supportive whenever we call with a problem or a piece of a job where we need assistance. Columbia’s homes and business also have beautiful and unique architecture that we love to light. We are discovering wonderful new things about this city all the time–I can’t imagine a better place to live and work.
Finally, I am grateful to have landed in such an amazing business. Every day I get to help people make their homes and businesses more beautiful, more safe, and more secure. At the end of each project I can take pictures to add to my portfolio and I know I have something to be proud of. That’s a great feeling and it gets me out of bed every morning with a spring in my step. Having a job you love is one of life’s great blessings.
Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Columbia wishes you and your loved ones best wishes for another year filled with things to be grateful for.
