One of the reasons we love what we do at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Columbia is that we know that with every project that we finish, we have made life better for the family that lives in the home we have improved. Each day when they return home, their mood will be a little lighter because their home is well lit. Their steps will be a little surer because their path is illuminated. They’ll have more great time outside together because they can see their outdoor living spaces day or night.
We also know from experience that volunteer work helps us to feel good. Regardless of the charity we work with, we know that we are improving life for others and making the world a better place. It makes us feel like important member of our community and gives us a greater appreciation for just how lucky we are to have the many blessings that fill our lives.
We have a real affinity for dogs and are canine foster parents for one of the many non-profit animal rescue programs in the Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA areas. If you have visited our office, you might have met Sophie, the wonderfully sweet golden retriever who we adopted after her foster stay with us. We give these dogs food, shelter, and affection and they give us back more love and devotion than anyone could ever need. They light up our home almost as much as one of our Columbia outdoor lighting systems.
There is a reason why one of the nation’s top foundations for promoting volunteerism is called The Points of Light Foundation. Volunteering is an amazing way to bring light into your own life by bringing light to the lives of others. It is the most virtuous of cycles. We’d love to hear how volunteering lights up your life, drop us a line and let us know.
In the meantime, we hope you have a merry and bright holiday season. If you want your 2015 to be a little brighter (literally), give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your Columbia outdoor lighting needs and arrange a free in-home consultation.
